Mikolaj Kaim
Mikołaj joined MOC as an analyst, where he supports sourcing, evaluating, and executing early-stage investments across Europe. He brings a mix of investor and operator experience, shaped by time spent both in venture building and inside a scaling startup.
Mikołaj started his journey with startups (after finishing undergrad studies in just 2 years) at a venture builder, where for almost 2 years, he embedded with founders and portfolio teams. In that role, he supported strategy and hands-on execution across portfolio companies and sourced new investments. After 1.5 years, he moved full-time to one of the portfolio companies as a founder's associate, working closely with the founder on international growth. As part of the deal team, he raised a €7m series B (which was the biggest only private-led round in Polish history) while also helping scale commercial operations across 14 countries, including launching business development efforts for LATAM, North America, and Europe. Earlier than that, Mikołaj gained transaction execution exposure at a top Polish dealmaker and investment bank Santander, supporting high-profile CEE M&A.
Outside of work, Mikołaj is a former member of the Polish national karate team, with multiple medals from international competitions and a 5th-place finish at a World Cup. He also founded and runs the Polish VC Football League, bringing together VC funds, founders, and angels through regular matches and community events. Also, he is a gym bro and film geek.
