Michał Mroczkowski

Partner

Michał’s relationship with digital technologies began in the early 2000s, when he was selling MP3 players to his peers in primary school. A strict no-screen policy at home pushed him to experiment with online services, proxies, and improvised cabling just to stay connected. During his student years, he co-founded and built a calendar platform for students, helping them manage course schedules and campus events. While still studying, he spent time at Microsoft and later went on to start a p2p car-sharing marketplace in Poland.
For Michał, venture capital is a way of satisfying never ending curiosity, understanding human motivations and making uncommon bets that compound over time. He deeply believes in the fundamentally immutable tribal nature of human beings, which makes him particularly excited about technologies that improve how humans and machines interact, cooperate, and transact in the digital world.
He has been associated with Market One Capital since 2017. Michał was the first hire at MOC and later became its first General Partner outside the founding team. At MOC, he partners with founders building companies that change market logic, leverage uncommon market inefficiencies or subtle market nuances, and deliver exceptional product experiences.
Outside of work, Michał enjoys spending time with his family as a proud father of two. He is eager to compete in sports involving any kind of ball or water. Also, he is a fairly good cook.
Michał graduated from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, the Warsaw School of Economics, and Tecnológico de Monterrey.
